And somehow here we are at the start of another school year! One thing is certain, back to school looks and feels very different this year no matter how schooling is happening for you. Whether your kiddos are heading back to school in person OR if you’re venturing into virtual learning, today’s Tuesday Tips are here to help! And they’re coming at you with all the grace, patience, and positive vibes we can offer because we are certainly going to need them all.

Virtual or Distance learning mommas… have you seen these gorgeous home school rooms that are seriously drool worthy? While that would be amazing and likely make the schooling easier it’s not always feasible thanks to finances, lack of space, or timing if distance learning is only a short term plan.
Enter the rolling cart. Economical, a small footprint, and once life goes back to normal it can without a doubt multi-task in another area in your home! Here are a few of our fave Homeschool cart solutions. Check out the Abby’s take on the Ikea cart here, Deanna sourced hers totally from Amazon here, and check out this one from Samantha.

But here is the kicker. It’s not about the cart so much as the execution. Think about how your virtual learning space will function. Do you have multiple children? Will they each need their own cart? Can they share? Can you repurpose something that you already have? If you are re-purposing completely clear the space. Next group your items together. Depending on your needs it might look like all writing utensils, paper, etc. Or you might need to group by subject needs. This goes back to the planning of how your space needs to function. If you have old stuff from last year or even longer back, don’t be afraid to purge. If you’re unsure whether you will need it, create a container to put it all in and out it away for now. Lastly, assign everything a home. If your child can read label it with words. If not use pictures and words which does double duty to build their vocabulary and keep everything organized!
