One thing I can say with absolute certainty, is that 2020 has been a wild year. Looking back on the plans and goals I had as the ball dropped on New Year’s Eve, I never could have imagined what the year would hold. But amidst the chaos, there has been so much goodness as well. Extra time with family, a realization of what really matters, more time for true connection, and this. This vision, this business, this community. Our homes have truly become our safe haven and the importance of making it a space that brings joy, calm, and happiness is not just a want, it’s a need.

Grab a coffee and get cozy on your couch because I’ve got a story to share. In fact, it was right about this time two years ago that this story begins. We were in the throws of all the back to school prep. School supplies. Meet the Teacher. End of summer haircuts. Funny thinking about those things now isn’t it? To add to all of the normal back to school stress, we were at a brand new school and had no clue what to expect. Imagine my surprise that my daughter not only had the sweetest, most amazing teacher but we also saw the smiling face of a friend in her class! So it was only natural that as I signed up to be home room mom that I would ask Shelby to do it with me. Because y’all that is ALOT of work and it’s so much more fun doing it with someone you know! And surprise… another momma volunteered to help too?!?! That never happens! Field Trips? Yes! Room Mom? Never! As we started planning the year and all of the activities, it became clear that Shelby, Meghan and myself were cut from the same cloth. Attention to detail. Prepped and organized. All hands on deck for whatever was needed. As we navigated thru assisting 1st graders in baking apple pies, decorating pumpkins, celebrating the holidays, and showing their school spirit, we forged a friendship as well. As the school year came to a close and our children moved on to other classes, we stayed in touch and giggled that we missed working together. But how in the world would an event planner, teacher, and entrepreneur ever work together? We would have to settle for friends…
Enter 2020 and Covid. As the world changed and I started spending ALL of my time at home, I started tackling the home projects that had been lingering. It was a much needed distraction but bigger than that it felt good to bring order into my life and I kept feeling a pull for more. In their own lives, Meghan and Shelby had been doing and feeling the same. It’s hard to say exactly who planted the first seed, but conversations quickly turned to ideas, and then into a clear vision. And this is how Order & Co. began. Formed thru friendship, with a focus on improving, curating, and bringing calm into other’s homes and lives.
Thanks for taking a minute to hear our story and we cannot wait for you to be a part of this journey with us!
